The "Professors of the Year 2018" have been selected

UNICUM Foundation selects award winners with Hays support on the jury

This year we are pleased for the second time to be part of the "Professor of the Year" competition! Every year, this competition, which is organised by the UNICUM Foundation, awards a prize to particularly committed professors who are regarded as "new career innovators". Our Head of People Management, Christian Jost, was part of the jury again this year, having also taken part in the competition in 2018. This year, the prize was awarded to the winner of the medical/scientific category at the ceremony on January 1, 2019.

Only university lecturers with professorship titles were allowed to be nominated. Nominations were from across four different courses of study with the individual professors' students also being involved in the nomination process. These instructors have distinguished themselves by offering their students a clear practical orientation during their studies and by preparing them for getting started in their careers in the best possible way by giving them key skills relevant to their future work.

As a leading international recruitment services provider, we consider practical relevance and commitment during a student's studies to be very important, as this is extremely beneficial for both future career planning and personal development. With this competition, the UNICUM Foundation is sending an important signal and inspiring greater numbers of professors to more closely integrate education and professional practice and not to work on the basis of textbooks alone. We are therefore very pleased to be a sponsor of "Professor of the Year".
